My A-Level Economics tutoring experience
In the most recent exams, I have been predominantly helping boarding school students. I have had four students at Marlborough, several students at Westminster, and students at Eton, Radley and Winchester.

I have been headhunted by both international tutoring schools and top international schools, as well as UK schools, and offered jobs as a teacher of economics numerous times — every summer. I continue to be actively sought out by schools, but I have consistently found tutoring to be the most rewarding use of my time, where I can make the biggest impact on students’ lives. One-to-one tuition is simply more rewarding for me and a joy — and I have a very full schedule, tutoring 60+ hours a week during the exam season. This is the pathway I have chosen.
I have done 7,000+ hours of tutoring, with many years as a professional tutor. My tutoring started even earlier: at school, my friends paid me to tutor their siblings, and I was the go-to guy in the room for general problems. In reality, I have been living a passion for tutoring and education since 2015, and I tutored part time whilst at Oxford.
I started private tutoring in 2017 (9 years ago) and now work as a professional full time (60hrs a week) specialist economics A-Level tutor. When I started, I did a mixture of economics and maths; now I do just economics. I became a specialist in economics A-Level because that is where I add the most value for students — given that I won three prizes in economics at Oxford, I am the best and most useful when it comes to economics A-Level tuition. I worked full time (50+ hrs 1to1 a week) as a professional tutor at Akademeia Tutorial College, where I focused on economics A-Level in Warsaw (for international students seeking A-Levels for UK universities) in the academic year 2021-2022. I teach economics A-Level and Oxbridge applications (interviews, personal statements, general preparation and guidance and the PPE entrance exam, TSA). My lessons on essay analysis and evaluation notes for A-Level Economics I wrote have helped several students jump grades (from C to A) very quickly through better exam technique as well as critical evaluation of economic models in the A-Level. I have helped students win places at RGS Guildford (where I was a student), Churcher’s College, KCS Wimbledon, Wellington College, Charterhouse and Marlborough, and places at Oxford University. A student came in the top 1% of Oxford University PPE applicants after private lessons, but was on the 30th percentile in practice exams beforehand, which secured them a place at Oxford University (Lady Margaret Hall) for Economics and Management. I have structured revision and school work for students who dropped out of school for their GCSEs, providing home schooling for over 5 months as the main source of teaching.
